And a strong proximity. Arterris and Lapeyre, it's a long story. A story of men and farmers who, for more than twenty years, have linked the Lauragais cooperative and the company specializing in agricultural machinery from La Force. The two have just formalized their relationship and are now linked by an agreement, to the great satisfaction of the president of Arterris Régis Serres, who called him with his best wishes. "Our company has been in existence since 1994 and we have been working since then with Arterris, as with its farmers, as a service provider, but also as constructors", underlines François Lapeyre who employs some forty-one employees at La Force and even exports from this small town of West Audois. “Today, 500 farmers are customers of Lapeyre establishments. This proves that there is a need for a company that is both diversified and efficient, which responds to our problems and provides solutions ”, underlines Mr. Serres. "What is true for the agricultural world is also true, in a more targeted way, on the industrial tools that we have, both in seeds, silos, animal production plants for optimization and for productivity gains, for respond to the hardship and safety problems of our employees ”.
"Arterris, moreover, invests in the animal world where there is a lot of robotics", underlines Jacques Logie, general manager of the cooperative, who continues: "In this partnership, there are three main areas. Maintenance is in the field of competence of the Lapeyre company and it is, moreover, a strong need for us; the second part of this agreement concerns the new works part, and a third point - this is new - the pooling of our resources for certain types of purchases, in particular industrial supplies that we need. These are a few million euros that we pool for our purchases. This responds to a need for competitiveness that we all have. This agreement, which has a threefold purpose, is very interesting for us ”. “It's also good that Arterris works with local businesses. When we have a project, it is interesting for us to be able to question a company that has a design office in order to see if we can find any optimizations ”, underlines Mr. Serres. "Arterris is, moreover, one of the biggest local players and well beyond", supports Mr. Lapeyre (Editor's note: it weighs more than a billion euros which places the cooperative in the very first places if not is the first in Occitania).
